Welcome to The Nous Age

I‘m thrilled you’ve discovered my corner of the world wide web and I hope you decide to jump into the discussions below or at least subscribe in the top right corner. I don’t care if you disagree vehemently or agree with me whole heartedly (or are somewhere in between like most of my readers) I personally invite you to become a part of our discussion.

Why This Website
This website is a sketch pad for my ongoing research, which I plan to publish as a book tentatively titled The Door to The Nous Age. It’s where I am connecting the dots between cutting edge scientific research in quantum physics and psi, and religious traditions from around the world. It’s a place for me to pose theories and hypotheses on this building alignment of science and spirit and what it means to our modern “connected” world. It’s also a place for me to field criticisms and be inspired to move my research into new directions. And along the way, you’ll get a sneak peek into what you can expect from my book.

Full Disclosure
I am neither a scientist nor a theologian and I don’t pretend to be.

What I am is a journalist with an insatiable curiosity and desire for taking things apart to understand why they work and how they work. From a journalistic point of view I am documenting new scientific discoveries and attempting to coorelate them to what religions have been saying for thousands of years. And because I like Indiana Jones so much (who doesn’t), a bit of archeology to help us better understand the world dominant Abrahamic religions and what clues to our past they’ve been hiding in plain site all this time. Is it possible that we are only re-discovering what a civilization that predates known history already knew?

Objectivity
Some would ask what business I have talking about science when I’m not a scientist; or talking about religion when I am likewise not an expert. In two words: objective journalism. I think it’s precisely that I don’t have any so called professional truths to uphold that I am able to explore ideas unencumbered by either religious, scientific or archaeological dogma.

What I Believe
We are in the midst of some kind of paradigm shift, NOT a cataclysmic shift like many doomsday-ers are predicting but simply a change in the way we see ourselves as a society, as a species, as a planet. And this change in perspective that we are moving into is what I call The Nous Age…welcome!

José Argüelles

The well-known esoteric, visionary, artist and author José Argüelles has died at the age of 72 after a brief illness. Argüelles is considered the pioneer of the modern phenomenon of 2012, predicting a great change in conscious awareness after December 21, 2012.

José Argüelles is known for his role in organizing the Harmonic Convergence event of 1987, and his book The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology, published the same year as well as the book Time and The Technosphere published in 2002. He also was one of the originators of the Earth Day concept, Argüelles founded the first Whole Earth Festival in 1970, at Davis, California.

To say that his work was an influence on my Nous Age Principle would be an understatement. His spirit will continue to work through my writing…

If you are unfamiliar with José Argüelles please watch this video, Part 1:

And  for your convenience here is Part 2:

Rest for now José, but there is work to do from where you are now. Peace brother.

YOU’LL RECOGNIZE some of these classic interview and documentary clips. I love the way they’ve put them together and have strengthened the message. Enjoy and then vist the Symphony of Science website

Is This Liberty?

The best place to hide something is in plain sight…

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY’s full name is “Liberty Enlightening the World”. It was given to the United States by France to celebrate their alliance during the Revolutionary War. The statue was built in Paris and then shipped to the U.S. in 1885.

Various parts of the statue were on display throughout Paris as they were completed. For example Liberty’s head was exhibited in the gardens at the Tracadéro, and her torch was on display as well, as you can observe in the images below.

She has stood in all her splendour outside New York City, just south of Ellis Island, as the symbol of freedom for generations of Americans ever since…but is she really who she says she is?

The Great Imposter
Now, look at this picture:

What or who do you see?

Well, it’s not what you think…say hello to Sol Invictus “the contriver of light”…or the giver of enlightenment. He was the official sun god of the later Roman empire.

The Sun of God
Sol Invictus literally translates as “The Invincible Sun”. A case can easily be mounted to show the entire story of Jesus, the Son of God, is a plagerised version of the story of this Sun God.

To take it a bit further, the grafting of Sol Invictus feast days to the tale of a boy born of a virgin in a manger in Bethlehem and visited by 3 kings are all part of a conspiracy to personify celestial events, but for what reason? These stories can be traced even further back than the golden age of Rome to 3000 B.C. to ancient Egypt’s story of Horus.

I have reason to believe that the story of Horus may have been borrowed from an advanced civilization that pre-dates known history…but that will have to wait for another post.

Toward the Rising Sun
Maybe that The Statue of Liberty faces toward the Winter time sunrise in New York (and toward Sunset Park in Brooklyn) is a clue meant for us to uncover her true identity?

Most people mistakenly believe that she faces South toward ships arriving into New York City’s Upper Bay.

The Truth
Should we add Liberty to the long list of solar gods? Or is she indeed the Sol Invictus for the New Rome? Perhaps this is all just a case of mistaken identity…?

Another interesting question would be what do the 7 points on her crown represent. Is it the light of liberty on the 7 seas and 7 continents as we’ve been told …or perhaps do they represent the 7 power centers (chakra) of the human body…and if so how does that relate to the power of the Sun?

Nobody knows the truth of The Statue of Liberty for sure but it certainly begs many questions…

I Wish I Could Talk In Technicolor

I’M READING Daniel Pinchbeck‘s ‘Breaking Open the Head‘ (Broadway Books, 2002) and am starting to believe that psychedelic drugs are literally a key to other dimensions. 11 dimensions to be exact, which scientists like Michio Kaku are endorsing.

Psychedelics seem to let us see things that our ‘normal’ closed mind won’t let us. Different drugs open different dimensions.

Here’s a video going viral right now from a time when LSD was not illegal.

By no means am I endorsing the use of illegal hallucinogenic drugs but the idea is certainly fascinating, isn’t it?

The Symphony of the Cosmos

Deepak Chopra another of my gifted teachers recently at a conference put it plainly:

“When you were first conceived, you were just a double strand of DNA, in a fertilized ovum.

It divided fifty times.

In only fifty replications, you had a hundred trillion cells! It is more than all the stars in the Milky Way galaxy.

And each cell is estimated to do about six trillion things per second, and every cell instantly knows what every other cell is doing.

How does a human body think thoughts, play a piano, kill germs, remove toxins, and make a baby all at the same time? And whilst it’s doing that, it tracks the movement of stars and planets. Because your biological rhythms, are actually the symphony of the cosmos.

There’s an inner intelligence in your body, and that inner intelligence is consciousness. It’s the ultimate in supreme genius, which mirrors the wisdom of the universe.”

Conclusion
I believe that it’s when we as individuals and collectively/culturally accept this simple truth (that we a part of the universe and not apart from the universe) that we will step into The Nous Age. And it’s not that big of a step…

INTERVIEW: Sky Sheridan of Called2Create

Sky Sheridan is the Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of Called2Create, a movement that intends to raise the conscious awareness of our freedom and power to create a world that puts people and the planet first so that we can all profit.

I spoke with him via Skype this past Wednesday about his life, his new book The Seven Shifts and the message he’s been called to share with the world.

Seeing that my first encounter with Sky and the Called2Create message was when I stumbled upon his award winning YouTube video, that’s where I started the interview…

The Interview:
(to hear Sky’s response to my question click on the ‘play’ icon below each question.)

Q1. How did the video A Creation Nation come about?

Q2. What is the mission of Called2Create?

Q3. This former model has just released his first book The Seven Shifts, out now for the Kindle and will be available in print form at the end of December. It’s both his personal memoir and a guide to achieving enlightenment. I asked Sky how he went from being a model to a spiritual guide, what some would call, “a pretty big leap”…

Q4. A lot of my own Nous Age research revolves around scientific discoveries, the Noetic sciences and specifically quantum physics. I asked Sky how important the discoveries of quantum physics are to his message?

Q5. In his book The Seven Shifts he talks about how a true consciousness shift can only take place when we shift from “living in fear to living love”…I asked him to explain…

Q6. How does the fear of death hold us back from discovering who we really are?

Q7. From the outside it may look like he’s lived a charmed life but the truth of his early life simply put, is tragic. Is it possible for somebody who’s lived a sheltered life to feel the need to become more spiritual?

Q8. If he could distill his message down to one sentence, what would it be?
