Welcome to The Nous Age

I‘m thrilled you’ve discovered my corner of the world wide web and I hope you decide to jump into the discussions below or at least subscribe in the top right corner. I don’t care if you disagree vehemently or agree with me whole heartedly (or are somewhere in between like most of my readers) I personally invite you to become a part of our discussion.

Why This Website
This website is a sketch pad for my ongoing research, which I plan to publish as a book tentatively titled The Door to The Nous Age. It’s where I am connecting the dots between cutting edge scientific research in quantum physics and psi, and religious traditions from around the world. It’s a place for me to pose theories and hypotheses on this building alignment of science and spirit and what it means to our modern “connected” world. It’s also a place for me to field criticisms and be inspired to move my research into new directions. And along the way, you’ll get a sneak peek into what you can expect from my book.

Full Disclosure
I am neither a scientist nor a theologian and I don’t pretend to be.

What I am is a journalist with an insatiable curiosity and desire for taking things apart to understand why they work and how they work. From a journalistic point of view I am documenting new scientific discoveries and attempting to coorelate them to what religions have been saying for thousands of years. And because I like Indiana Jones so much (who doesn’t), a bit of archeology to help us better understand the world dominant Abrahamic religions and what clues to our past they’ve been hiding in plain site all this time. Is it possible that we are only re-discovering what a civilization that predates known history already knew?

Objectivity
Some would ask what business I have talking about science when I’m not a scientist; or talking about religion when I am likewise not an expert. In two words: objective journalism. I think it’s precisely that I don’t have any so called professional truths to uphold that I am able to explore ideas unencumbered by either religious, scientific or archaeological dogma.

What I Believe
We are in the midst of some kind of paradigm shift, NOT a cataclysmic shift like many doomsday-ers are predicting but simply a change in the way we see ourselves as a society, as a species, as a planet. And this change in perspective that we are moving into is what I call The Nous Age…welcome!

Is This Liberty?

The best place to hide something is in plain sight…

THE STATUE OF LIBERTY’s full name is “Liberty Enlightening the World”. It was given to the United States by France to celebrate their alliance during the Revolutionary War. The statue was built in Paris and then shipped to the U.S. in 1885.

Various parts of the statue were on display throughout Paris as they were completed. For example Liberty’s head was exhibited in the gardens at the Tracadéro, and her torch was on display as well, as you can observe in the images below.

She has stood in all her splendour outside New York City, just south of Ellis Island, as the symbol of freedom for generations of Americans ever since…but is she really who she says she is?

The Great Imposter
Now, look at this picture:

What or who do you see?

Well, it’s not what you think…say hello to Sol Invictus “the contriver of light”…or the giver of enlightenment. He was the official sun god of the later Roman empire.

The Sun of God
Sol Invictus literally translates as “The Invincible Sun”. A case can easily be mounted to show the entire story of Jesus, the Son of God, is a plagerised version of the story of this Sun God.

To take it a bit further, the grafting of Sol Invictus feast days to the tale of a boy born of a virgin in a manger in Bethlehem and visited by 3 kings are all part of a conspiracy to personify celestial events, but for what reason? These stories can be traced even further back than the golden age of Rome to 3000 B.C. to ancient Egypt’s story of Horus.

I have reason to believe that the story of Horus may have been borrowed from an advanced civilization that pre-dates known history…but that will have to wait for another post.

Toward the Rising Sun
Maybe that The Statue of Liberty faces toward the Winter time sunrise in New York (and toward Sunset Park in Brooklyn) is a clue meant for us to uncover her true identity?

Most people mistakenly believe that she faces South toward ships arriving into New York City’s Upper Bay.

The Truth
Should we add Liberty to the long list of solar gods? Or is she indeed the Sol Invictus for the New Rome? Perhaps this is all just a case of mistaken identity…?

Another interesting question would be what do the 7 points on her crown represent. Is it the light of liberty on the 7 seas and 7 continents as we’ve been told …or perhaps do they represent the 7 power centers (chakra) of the human body…and if so how does that relate to the power of the Sun?

Nobody knows the truth of The Statue of Liberty for sure but it certainly begs many questions…

UFOs and the Gateway To Heaven

“…and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it…And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none other but the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven” – Genesis 28:12; 17

Not long ago hovering over the city of New York in broad daylight, stunned pedestrians looked up in awe of strange lights. We’re not talking about “flying saucers”, these are what could be called “orbs”, mysterious balls of light. Click here to see raw video footage of the UFOs.

Similar lights have been seen around the world over the last several years, alone and sometimes in large groups numbering in the 100s. So what are they?!

In his book Dimensions: A Casebook of Alien Contact (1988) Jacques Vallee says:

I believe that the UFO phenomenon is one of the ways through which an alien form of intelligence of incredible complexity, is communicating with us symbolically. There is no indication that it is extraterrestrial…it [comes from] other dimensions beyond spacetime; from a multiverse which is all around us.

Dimensional Vortex
In 2006 Jaime Maussan, a UFOlogist extraordinaire, presented astonishing video of several such orbs, the exception being, unlike the New York City footage, they were captured using a high quality security camera capable of zooming in to incredible detail. (You can watch the entire presentation here: http://vimeo.com/1305669). Below is a clip (animated .gif) of one of those orbs shown in the presentation, you can see it at 28 minutes into the video.

At this extreme high magnification you can make out what seems to be some sort of tunnel. Jaime came to the conclusion that what we are seeing is a ‘dimensional vortex’.

Jaime Maussan's Dimensional Vortex

Were does it go…and how did it get here? Are very good questions that have no good answers so far. Though there may be some clues in the historical record.

2012 Mayan Prophecy
In Mayan belief a ‘serpent rope’ will emerge from the center of the galaxy in 2012, with an enlightened being named Nine Winds or Quetzalcoatl riding on it and a blessed substance or sap the Mayans call ‘itz’ spewing from it.

Judeo-Christian Myth
According to the transfiguration of Christ myth there was a similar entrance he used to travel to heaven after his crucifixion. Perhaps he had some way of conjuring up an opening in space/time to get to-and-from heaven.

A Dimensional Vortex or gateway to heaven?

Do a Google search for ‘Transfiguration Icon’ and  notice the similarities in the design or layout of the icon: Jesus in front of some sort of open vortex, with Moses on one side and Elijah on the other.

And then of course there’s the old testament story of Jacob’s Ladder.

What is Myth, What is Truth?
I believe that myths are truths embellished over time. Could it be that the biblical stories of Jacobs Ladder and the Mayan ‘Serpent Rope’ be one in the same? Has truth been embedded in the Bible and other ancient documents to prepare us for this coming age? Could it be true that these lights in the sky are just the tip of some kind of a tunnel or stargate from another dimension? Or a rapturess stairway to heaven?

Investigative mythologist and stargate researcher William Henry goes as far as to question if perhaps Christ and Quetzalcoatl are one in the same on his Soul Rising DVD…

The Truth
The truth is that we don’t yet know what these mysterious lights are and I’m not pretending to have the answers either…but if they are indeed some sort of a naturally occurring porthole to another dimension or a “stargate”…wow, that would certainly call for a change of perception or paradigm shift on our part, wouldn’t it!

Welcome to The Nous Age, indeed!

Make Your Own Path

There’s a Buddhist saying that describes religion as being like a raft, once you’ve crossed the river you don’t carry that raft on your back to your destiniation, do you? After you’ve made it to the opposite shore leave your raft there and continue on foot without the oppressive weight of your raft (or religion) on your back.

Likewise there is another Buddhist saying that insists that if religion were a raft don’t stay on it too long or you will get washed out to sea where you will be forced to stay and deal with the consequences.

Religion A Good Start
I’ve always said that religion is an excellent starting point for a spiritual life…sort of like ‘Spirituality 101’. But after that you’re on your own, you need to make your own way.

Most of the problems on Earth are caused by people who are trying to carry their raft…or who have stayed on their raft too long.

Your Path to Enlightenment
There are 6 1/2 billion people on the planet and there are 6 1/2 billion paths to enlightenment. We are creative souls…get creative…ask questions!

Don’t carry your religion like a raft, don’t stay on your raft too long and mostly importantly, don’t follow me….make your own path.

Religion Is Flawed

Religion is flawed. When human beings try to define or “pin-down” spiritual things they corrupt them. When you love something so much that you take it out of it’s natural habitat and place it in a cage to control it, you can’t help but destroy it’s essence. No matter how hard you try not to, you will change it, the walls of it’s cage becoming it’s very definition. God has no boundaries and is undefinable. How can you define something which lies outside our 3-dimensional perception?

Lucretius (99 BC – 55 BC) said:

Tantum religio potuit saudere malorum (Too much religion is apt to encourage evil)

And he was right despite not having seen what was to come courtesy of the Abrahamic traditions.

Metareligion
This blog is not out to ‘get religion’ like some visitors have insinuated, this blog is trying to bring forward what I call a ‘meta-religion’ or the religion behind all religions…if that is indeed possible. I’m not talking about the so-called Golden Rule either, that is a morality code. Metareligion is the undefinable which drives our search for meaning. As such metareligion must remain undefined…for to define it would be to corrupt it.

The Nous Age Principle, at it’s basis, is a declaration that we are all one…that we are connected in a fundamental yet deeply profound way. Religions tell us “we are all one…if you believe like we do”. By defining yourself this way you are putting yourself into a cage.

Rise Up
By bringing spirit down to our level, by defining it in our terms, we destroy it. Spirit cannot survive on our level, if anything, we have to rise up to meet it.

Welcome to The Nous Age, it’s here if you want it!

The New Age

Time is only an illusion. An illusion put into place by people who’s experience of the Universe is finite.

Beginning. Middle. End. That’s all mortal beings are able to see because that is their limited view of reality. Birth. Life. Death. The truth is that all time exists at once. They are just unable to see it.

Imagine trying to enjoy the splendour of Leonardo DaVinci’s Mona Lisa with your nose pressed up against the canvas. From that perspective you will probably never truly be able to take in the whole picture, (you will probably also acquire an obscene amount of attention from Louvre security guards). Well, that is exactly how we are experiencing “all that is”…from a limited point of view.

The Big Puzzle
That said, there are clues to the rest of the grand picture. Clues which have been left by other people through history who have observed other parts of the whole and want to share with us what they’ve seen. And then there are the less scrupulous who want us to believe they have a piece to the puzzle or are able to see it all, but can’t. Those are the people who have been leading us down the garden path so to speak, for hundreds of years, hiding and in some cases even destroying the truth in order to keep us subjugated…but I digress.

What Is Precession?
It is possible to mark events in our passage through the infinite “all that is” and that’s were precession comes into the equation.

“Precession is a change in the orientation of the rotation axis of a rotating body” [1] in this case our planet, Earth. It takes 26,000 years for Earth to complete one precession, spinning like a lopsided top. During those 26,000 years we spend what is called “An Age” with each of the 12 signs of the zodiac dominating our night sky. An “Age” being approximately 2,150. We are now moving out of the age of Pisces (the fish) into the age of Aquarius (water).

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

So does this mean Jesus will be returning to the Earth? Probably not, he’s dead. Jesus was executed as a political combatant by the Roman occupiers of the Holy Land almost 2,000 years ago. More likely what it means is that there is a change coming so great that even the principles of Christianity will become obsolete.

Christians are not the only ones who are anticipating a change on the horizon,  the ever popular Mayan calendar comes to an end on December 21, 2012 (11:11 am). Again this is not an indication of the end of the world but rather a moment of transition to something new. Other cultures and religions likewise have end time prophecies.

Before You Ask
A footnote to my “all time exists at once” idea from above. The Big Bang Theory is just a ‘theory’ that (again) is based on our limited understanding of the Universe. Based on the 12+ years of research that has brought me to my Nous Age Principle I now believe that the Steady State Theory of our Universe is likely more accurate from a scientific point of view…but I will leave that discussion for another post.
